Our Senior Accounting position will have great appeal to the curious, proactive mid-level accountant whose interests are broad, but who�s either tired of, or wishes to avoid, being pigeon holed in a large multi-national organization.

Role:
You will assist in the implementation of the Solomon accounting system at the group level. Under the supervision of the group Controller, you will set up new companies and prepare management reports.

Your immediate task will be learning the nuances of our businesses and our internal accounting processes. You will apply critical thinking, creativity and best practices in order to
(1) Complete the monthly close on a timely basis for multiple subsidiaries, (2) Actively participate in the budgeting and cash management processes,
(3) Review invoices and manage general ledger data to prepare financial statements and budgets as needed.
(4) Contribute to the accounting functions for the management company and several subsidiaries.
(5) Help streamline operations

Operating companies are located in the US and UK. Investment companies are primarily located in �off shore� zones in Europe, but have a global investment focus. The management company where this position will be situated is located in midtown New York City. No travel is required.

Required Skills:
-Experience with Solomon accounting system is a MUST
- Data extrapolation, budget analysis, and excel wizardry
- Ability to provide management with intelligent analysis of data contained in your financial statements, audit work papers and supporting schedules
- Consolidation experience is a plus
