The PNC Financial Services Group has an opportunity at our Pittsburgh headquarters location for a Tax Supervisor. This position performs highly complex analysis of financial accounting and tax data in order to evaluate the financial implications and make recommendations to management for planning and decision making. Prepares highly complex tax returns, reviews complex and non-complex tax returns prepared by all levels of Tax Accountants and Analysts. Attends meetings in place of Assistant Managers and Managers. Directs, coordinates and supervises all levels of Tax Accountants and Analysts. Identifies and defines project objectives. Develops and maintains reports, schedules, documents and procedures. Supervises staff and assists in department administration by administering performance reviews, recommending salary action, participating in the discipline and guidance of employees, and encouraging and providing training and professional development. Maintains a thorough knowledge of accounting, analytical, tax, and technical skills required to perform complex projects. Directs staff on fulfilling requests from management, businesses and/or regulatory agencies for detailed financial and tax information and may directly complete complex or highly complex detailed requests.
Bachelor in Accounting, Finance or Taxation. CPA certification and/or advanced education is preferred. Normally requires 7-9 years tax or accounting experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge and use of personal computers (including spreadsheet and word processing applications). Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Strong analytical and reasoning skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks while appropriately prioritizing projects.
